I mean...4 stars for this...C'MON MAN!!!The research that has been put into this book is worth 5 stars.Chang takes you on a journey from Reggie Jackson and how hard he had to fight for respect with the Yankees (the he helped them win the World Series),to Kool Herc's pilgrimage from Kingston to The Bronx,Bambataa's time as a gang member as a Black Spade then becoming the founder and Leader of THE MIGHTY ZULU NATION,etc.I've read this book numerous time (about 4 times since it came out)and I always find fascinating how all of these events made HIPHOP the greatest artform ever in music...you figure if this genre of music can be called a "Culture" and brings people together regardless of race or religion then..well,just pick this book up and you'll see what I'm talkin''bout.Get more detail about Can't Stop Won't Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation.
