I've been in the music business producing records for a long time and have had the privilege of working with some of the world's top mix engineers. But I personally never really developed a deep understanding of mixing tools such as compressors, EQs, Reverbs, etc. I bought the "Mixing Audio" book to catch up a bit and maybe brush up on some mixing techniques, but was I wrong. This book actually took me back to square one, and that's a good thing. You see I thought I had a good overall technical understanding of mixing concepts, but after reading this book I was floored as to how much I actually didn't know. This book was so detailed and had so much useful information that it probably made the biggest difference in my work that I've experienced in years.
