Fretboard Logic SE: The Reasoning Behind the Guitar's Unique Tuning + Chords Scales and Arpeggios Complete (The Fretboard Logic Guitar Method Volumes I and II) (Fretboard Logic Guitar Method Ser) This instant

I concur enthusiastically with all the positive reviews I've seen about Fretboard logic. After decades of playing by ear I've been studying theory and am finding it a tedious and boring process.

However, there are three tools I've used to help immensely - putting it all together so I can see "why" and just "How." Fretboard Logic is worth it's weight in gold. So is Chord Wheel (available on Amazon)- a visual and very useful tool based upon the circle of fifths (in one direction) and fourths in the other. The two together would make a guitarist out of a chimpanzee!

And finally - David Walliman's excellent videos on Youtube - he was there when I needed him, especially for understanding how to use modes.

Please note - I'm a bass player. For years I've kept an old Telecaster laying around and played it on occassion but lately, due to these learning aides, I'm starting to sound like I have clue when I pick up the six string! Frankly, I'm having a blast (and oddly enough - it's helped my bass playing as well).Get more detail about Fretboard Logic SE: The Reasoning Behind the Guitar's Unique Tuning + Chords Scales and Arpeggios Complete (The Fretboard Logic Guitar Method Volumes I and II) (Fretboard Logic Guitar Method Ser).
