This book is for those who have some knowledge/background of/in music. I've been taking weekly lessons for 6 wks with no previous music training or experience. I think this book will be helpful as I get more experience but as a beginner it's over my head. That said, it seems to be a well-organized, well-laid out book; at the end of each chapter it reviews that chapter's content and what you were meant to get from it.
